Wednesday May 28, Tuscany to Pisa to Nice, France...Focus on Pisa this morning for pictures of its amazing Leaning Tower. Then follow the Mediterranean coast past a string of Italian and French Riviera resorts to Nice. An optional outing is available to Monte Carlo. (BB)

Not sure when we will get into Nice. 4 hours from Pisa to Nice.

Thursday May 29, Nice to Paris....Transfer to the railway station and board the high-speed “TGV” TRAIN to Paris. You may wish to try out one of Paris’ fine restaurants. (BB)

Monte Carlo by Night with Dinner

Take a scenic drive along the Riviera followed by a delicious French dinner and wine. See the Cathedral and the Palace of Prince Albert in the principality of Monaco. Afterwards time to gamble or relax on a terrace, enjoying the elegant atmosphere. Note: Some gambling areas may be subject to an admission fee, identification required. Details about Nice

Nice is a major tourist center and resort. There is a boardwalk along the Mediterranean called the Promenade des Anglais 5 blocks south of our hotel. The beaches of Nice consist entirely of large flat stones ("gallets").

There is a Victorian hotel, the Hotel Negresco, to the west along the boardwalk. Its gourmet restaurant, Le Chantecler, is over the top expensive.

Taxis are said to be hard to hail and not honest.
